We can show you how repeating text lowers the cost of specific projects. Our client requested the translation of a text from Czech into Bulgarian, which contained 13,241 words. However, thanks to the client’s translation memory, which already contained the translations of a similar text done earlier, we only charged the client 11,410 words.
And since we have been working together for a long time and the client orders translations in the same language combination regularly, the translation memory is constantly growing.
So, when we made a trial calculation four months later for the translation of the original text containing those 13,241 words, we found that with the current translation memory we would have charged 9,218 words, and three months later only 8,834 words!
In short, with each additional translation of a similar text in the same language combination, the translation is always less and less expensive.
