Did you know that we also offer online interpreting via a phone call or video conference? This is a perfect match for those who want to save time and money. What exactly does this mean?
Our interpreter uses an online platform to interpret the content of your meeting, business meeting or training session to a foreign language audience.
From our interpreting hub in the centre of Prague, we interpreted an international workshop on architecture for English, French, and Czech-speaking professionals. There were more than 100 attendees who joined through the ZOOM online video conferencing platform.
Send us a specification of your request for interpreting with all the available details. If you are not sure about anything, simply give us a call and we will be happy to help you.
Once we have all the necessary information, we will prepare a price quote and ask for your approval.
Once the quote is approved and the invoice is paid, we will arrange the entire interpreting service for you. You have nothing to worry about.
Together, we will prepare everything in advance so that you can relax and enjoy your online interpreting experience.
The enquiry form is most suitable for one-off projects.

Videocall vs. audiocall
Interpreting is usually done using a video call. The parties involved, for example customers and their business partners, maintain visual contact with each other and the interpreter during the call. Body language, gestures, facial expressions… they all play an important part in social communication. And this also helps improve the quality of the interpreting service. Who you do not see are České překlady’s project managers, i.e. those who help coordinate the technicalities of the conference call where needed. If everything works as it should, you will only see the results of their work. Not them.
Audio calls are also a possibility. We can organise online interpreting via an audio call, but this is not really what we would recommend. Why? Because the aforementioned visual aspects are left out – no gestures and facial expressions that would help the output of the interpreting. Their absence can have a negative impact on the quality of the interpreting. And this is not what you would wish for.
Date and scope of interpreting sessions
Interpreting services take place on a specific day and hour, from which we start charging you for our services. We will send you a link from which you can join the video call well in advance. What else needs to be mentioned? The duration of the interpreting services also includes waiting time that we did not cause, the time needed to solve any technical problems, etc. To avoid any complications, we offer you the possibility of a short test call before the actual interpreting session, at a time that suits you. Are you in?
Technical information
You do not need to be IT specialists or follow the latest technology trends. All you have to do is have us by your side – together we will get it done. However, there are a few essentials that those involved need to provide in order for the online call to be successful and smooth.
Essential equipment for all attendees of online interpreting sessions:
Recording and purpose
If you wish to record the call session, please let us know in advance and explain the purpose of the recording. We will include this in our price quote, and will make any necessary technical and organisational preparations.
Online apps
For consecutive interpreting, we use commonly available and user-friendly applications, such as Zoom or Skype.
