Case studies

This page could serve as a showcase of jobs that we as a translation agency are proud of for various reasons. We can say that we work quickly, efficiently and effectively, but it is always better when practical examples speak for us.

Here’s an overview of our most interesting and most challenging recent translation project.

Millions of Czech crowns saved thanks to translation memory

If we can describe any specific customer as a truly loyal one, it would be the Engineering Test Institute. We have been providing them with translation services since 2005, completing over 4,000 projects in 34 languages, mostly technical reports. Thanks to the intensity of our cooperation, this customer’s translation memory is constantly expanding, and the larger it gets, the more money they save.

Lingerie e-shop in five languages

In the past three years, we have translated more than 170,000 words on our website and e-shop into Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak and Slovenian. The translations delivered to our client included proofreading by native speakers, and all translations were paired with the corresponding product identification code. The texts we produced were used without the need for any additional editing. Having quality web content is as important as wearing quality underwear. Do you agree?

Web and mobile apps of a technology start-up

Who else should be able to take full advantage of web translations done using a CMS connector but a technology company? Every change and update is immediately translated from English into German for the website, and from English into fourteen European and Asian languages for the mobile app. We get e-mail notifications about new tasks and we immediately start working to make the multilingual content available to the public as soon as possible. It is as easy as this.

The project included more than 13,000 words, but thanks to the use of a translation memory, the client only paid for 11,000. How is it possible? Thanks to our previous cooperation, the translation memory we maintain for this client included valuable content for reuse in future translations.

Uniform terminology according to EU legislation

A client who supplies animal nutrition to customers across Europe asked us how to make sure that the translations of their products strictly used the professional terminology required by EU legislation. We extracted more than 1,000 technical terms from the specific legislation provided by the client and then moved them to a terminology glossary in our translation studio. To be a bit tongue in cheek, we can say that this particular project was really nourishing...

Online simultaneous interpretation of a workshop for architects

From our interpreting hub in the centre of Prague, we interpreted an international workshop on architecture, for English, French and Czech speaking professionals. There were more than 100 attendants who joined through the Zoom online video conferencing platform. Six of our interpreters could see the projection screen and received the original sound through headphones. Building an interpretation hub for the architects proved to be a very functional solution... See how we managed.

Translation of 1,000 pages in non-editable format

A major law firm asked us to translate more than 1,000 pages in 120 scanned PDF documents. The delivery deadline was within two weeks. We chose a strategy that allowed us to process the job with three translators. The translators started building a glossary and a translation memory on the go. Thanks to this, we managed to further underscore our position as one of the top translation service providers.

Unexpected change in the content of consecutive interpretation

Due to a malfunction of a new honey filler in the client’s production hall, the content of the consecutive interpreting from Czech to German changed from minute to minute. Instead of the planned machine testing and training of operators, our interpreter translated the content of meetings where the fault and its possible solution were discussed.

Participation in the European translation marathon

Together with other European language service providers, our company participated in the extremely extensive translation of product descriptions from German into Czech. Our involvement in the project consisted in 422,000 words (i.e. roughly 1,688 pages) and the deadline was 12 working days (or 18 days, weekends included). Normally, such an order for a multinational company would require 169 working days... We managed in an extremely short time and did it in parallel with other work, pushing our limits again.
