It is an interpreting process in which the interpreter speaks simultaneously with the presenter, and so the audience receives the original speech in their own language directly into their headphones. It is an extremely demanding job that requires interpreters to work in pairs, taking turns and switching approximately every 20 minutes.
Simultaneous interpreting is suitable for conferences, lectures and similar events. It is an ideal solution for situations in which you need to interpret for part of the audience or into several languages.
Simultaneous interpreting, unlike consecutive/accompanying interpreting, requires interpreting equipment – soundproof interpreting booths and headphones, which we are able to arrange for you.

To ensure a smooth interpreting process, it’s better to contact us ideally a few weeks before the event. The Czech Republic has a limited number of skilled simultaneous interpreters and, as interpreting always requires a pair, it is necessary to book interpreters in advance, especially for smaller languages.
