How do our translators and proofreaders see us?
Satisfaction surveys aimed at our vendors help us improve our services and processes. From the feedback we receive, we see what is working and where we can further improve.
So what did we find out from the last survey?
“In our last vendor satisfaction survey, carried out at the end of 2024, a total of 157 vendors out of 349 responded, which is roughly half,” says Jakub Blatný, Head of Vendor Management. Most of them see our cooperation as very positive. And when asked if they had ever encountered a problem while working on a job, 78% of respondents said no. “Those who encountered problems referred mostly to technical issues around our Phrase translation studio and, in some cases, unclear instructions about particular projects,” he adds.
Results in key areas of cooperation
The satisfaction of our translators and proofreaders is essential to us. We see this aspect as a critical component in the quality of our work and our services. That’s why we regularly ask for feedback. The results help us to understand where we excel and where we need to improve as a translation agency. The translators and proofreaders we work with were given the opportunity to rate specific areas using marks just like at school, where 1 ⭐ is the worst rating and 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ is the best.
How did it go? On average, we performed as follows:
- Satisfaction with the quality of translation and proofreading jobs: 4.7
- Clarity of translation and proofreading instructions from project managers: 4.8
- Speed of feedback received from project managers and clients: 4.8
- Satisfaction with the billing process: 4.8
- Availability of projects and jobs with a focus on the vendors’ expertise: 4.1
- Communication with the České překlady team or with clients during projects: 4.9
- Adequate compensation: 4.6
- Willingness to continue cooperation: 4.9
- Satisfaction with the use of Phrase: 4.6
And what did our translators and proofreaders have to say about us?

According to the survey, our strengths are:
✅ Seamless communication. Our translators and proofreaders appreciate the helpfulness and quick response time of our project managers.
✅ Clear assignments. The majority of respondents agreed that the translation and proofreading assignments are clear and contain all the necessary information.
✅ Fair conditions. Roughly 80% of respondents believe they get adequate compensation for the work they undertake.
What were some of the suggestions for improvement?
Through the questionnaire, we also received some specific suggestions for improvement – these were related to processes, technology, fees, planning, feedback on work, etc. Some translators wish they were given more work. There was one request for longer deadlines. Some translators also commented on the current rates and their possible increase.
Among the technical comments, there was a question about improving the spell checker. “If you could find software that didn’t require me to check all projects one by one before invoicing, that would be great,” was the wish. There was also a comment on the instructions regarding names.
And what do we do with all this info? “Together with the team, we will go through all the comments and suggest steps to resolve or improve the situations mentioned most often,” says Václav Baláček, co-owner of České překlady, adding that he thanks everyone who participated in the survey: “With such feedback we can improve our processes to the satisfaction of everyone involved.”
