Klára Svozilová as a Sales Manager of Foreign Sales Department

My path to translation wasn’t as straightforward as it has been for other colleagues, but even though I’ve worked in different industries such as the hotel industry and real estate, my work has always been about sales and customer service.

My first exposure to translation agencies happened once I had moved from Prague to Olomouc. In May 2017,
I fully immersed myself in the world of languages and took up the position of Sales Manager in the newly established foreign sales department of the Olomouc branch of České překlady (Czech Translations).

 

 

Since my job is based on communicating in English, I did not hesitate to take the opportunity to supplement my existing language education with the Cambridge CAE certificate.

I consider my greatest success to be, first and foremost, satisfied clients who are happy to return to us or cooperate with us on a continual basis. It is more than just long-standing cooperation with some of them, we also have friendly relationships. These are best strengthened by personal contact, which is why you can meet me at various conferences, such as ELIA and MCE. This year I am going to Mars as part of MCE 😉

I’m not just active at work. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking and biking trips, CrossFit and OCR racing. When I have time, I like to make my loved ones happy with freshly baked sourdough bread.
