Interpreting at an International Conference

On 29 and 30 January, we provided interpreters between six languages during an EC conference on CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Threats), in the field of the fight against terrorism.

The conference was attended by more than 200 representatives of EU countries. They were split into three groups according to their focus (chemical group, biological group, and radiological and nuclear group).

The conference was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Prague. The workshops were held in three rooms – the main conference hall (keynote and closing speech, radiology and nuclear group) and two smaller halls (chemistry and biology group). For each room it was necessary to provide 10 simultaneous interpreters + two substitutes (five interpreter booths + one substitute). In total, we provided 36 interpreters in English, Czech, German, French, Spanish, and Italian.

I would like to get the price
for interpreting services.

Since the most common language of the workshops was English, the English-Czech booth mostly functioned as a “pilot” booth, i.e. it translated into Czech and then other interpreters translated from Czech into German, French, Spanish, and Italian.

Our Prague office organized the interpreting services.

We would be happy to interpret your conference too,
so please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
