Pros and cos of automatic OCR text conversions from a PDF document

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) allows you to convert the content of documents from PDF to Word.  Automatically converted texts look visually attractive at first glance, but they often cannot be used as a basis for professional translations because they contain isolated text blocks, disconnected sentences, and incorrectly converted characters and the whole text “falls apart” during further editing.
