Business can be both successful and responsible
We have a pretty good reason to be happy and we would like to share this with you. We were very successful in this year’s “2023 Olomouc Region Governor’s Award for Social Responsibility”.
For our CSR activities, we were awarded first place in the category of companies with up to 50 employees, which is one place better than last year.
“This success is a symbolic confirmation of our long-term commitment to responsible business and sustainable development. We would like to use it to inspire other small businesses to follow the same path,” says co-owner Lukáš Utíkal about the award.
“It is not only about financial support and formal numbers, it’s about showing how our attitudes and everyday decisions affect our community,” adds the second owner, Václav Baláček, pointing out that it’s good to remember that every business can be successful and responsible at the same time.
The competition was held for the fourth time, under the auspices of the Olomouc Region; the award ceremony took place on Tuesday 10 September 2024 in the Olomouc Fortress of Knowledge. “To be socially responsible, not only in your business but also towards your surroundings, is one of the key topics of the 21st century. The aim of this competition is to appreciate and thank all those who go the extra mile and do more than what is required by law,” is what Jan Šafařík, Deputy Governor for Regional Development, said about the competition.
This prestigious award is open to entrepreneurs, companies, municipalities, schools, and educational institutions, as well as non-profit organisations. Self-assessment reports, which were evaluated by managers from the Czech Board of Quality, served as the basis for the competition.
