České překlady expands with takeover of SOPHIA customer portfolio
From 1 July 2026, we will be taking over the customer portfolio of SOPHIA, jazykové služby s.r.o., based in České Budějovice.
With this step, we are strategically strengthening our presence along the Olomouc–Prague–České Budějovice axis and building on the many years of work in the field of translation, interpreting and other language services that SOPHIA began back in 1993.
For SOPHIA’s existing clients, this means, above all, continuity and certainty: all of their translation and interpreting needs will now be seamlessly handled by the České překlady team. At the same time, this merger will offer them the stability of one of the largest translation agencies in the Czech Republic, with its substantial capacity and wide range of services.

The client portfolio is being transferred in connection with a planned generational transition and the absence of family successors at SOPHIA. The company’s founder, Karla Bauerová, has decided to entrust her customers to a strong and reliable partner. She describes this pivotal step in her personal and professional life as follows:
